Default 1998 voyager

can anyone please help my 2.0 voyager battery warning light is on been told it is probably the power train control module any idea on how much these are new or can they be repaired and who does it thanx

Unless there is a considerable amount of history involved here, it seems like a large step to replace a control module for a battery warning light. Did you have the battery checked/replaced? Did you have your alternator tested/replaced? Did you check all of your grounding wires off of the battery where they connect on the other end?

Yes, a Control Module could be the issue, but without looking elsewhere first it seems overkill to me.

Deffinetly check your battery first make sure that its at 12.6 volts and the proper CCA i think they're rated at 600 CCA on those.

Hopefully your not one of the unlucky ones with the voltage regulator in the PCM. Always thought that was a stupid place for it.

YES I DID HAVE THE ALTERNATOR CHECKED AND THE REGULATOR IS IN THE PCM ONCE I PUT THE ALTERNATOR BACK ON AND RE-TENSIONED THE BELT I THE CHECKED THE VOLTAGE ACROSS THE BATTERY IT WAS 14.6 v GUESS IT MUST OF JUST BEEN A LOOSE BELT AFTER ALL
