Default 2.8 crd 2004 starting problem advice please

Hi all. I have a 2004 gv that will not start in the morning without easy start and even then only just. Last weekend i changed the fuel filter and housing ( tank bay ) the next morning it started fine but since then nothing. It blew the 20 amp fuel heater fuse i disconnected the heater on the pcv as its on the same circuit and it does not blow. Even when warm if i try to start her and wait umtil the fuel pump stops making any noise then she wont start any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

first thing is to do a "key dance" and check for fault codes. Search on here to find out how to do this.

the P0201 is an electrical fault with the injector no 1 and the 403 is an electrical fault with the EGR solenoid.

The codes will need to be cleared with a scan tool, where abouts are you in the country?

You need to confirm that the P0201 is not an active fault, then I'd start looking at fuel pressure and it's rise time

Richard

unfortunately there isn't a cheap scan tool that works on these engines.

I travel down the M11 most evenings and if you are not too far from there I can pop by and clear the faults and have a quick look

Regards
Richard
