Default 2001 Voyager will not start

We had a dead spot we think on our starter as sometimes it would turn over and sometimes nothing. Replaced starter, started engine maybe 5 times- worked great. Next day got into car to leave, starter turned engine over, but engine will not start. Feels as if no gas getting to engine or something electrical causing shutdown of gasoline flow? Ran fine previous day after replacing starter. Any suggestions?

starter turns the motor causing it to start up just like the old time air planes where some one started the plane by spinning the propeller.
a starter either works or not there is not a dealer spot if it turns the motor over.

chk for spark and fuel at the motor.
