Default 2002 crd o/s c.v joint

hi all ,having loads of grief trying to change the o/s c.v joint i needed to do the bearing on the same side so thought i would do both together
but no matter how hard i beat the joint it would not come off
has anyone else had problems with this??
i did one on my last voyager (1998 2.5td) and was no problem at all

Did you release the circlip?????

There are two types..one is just a ring, which will center itself and slide out on impact...the other requires a pair of snap ring pliers to expand it while iy is being "Knocked-Off"....

Ifr you look carefully at the joint, wipe the grease out of your way, and look for the two protruding "EARS" on the face of the joint where the shaft meets...Once you see them it will make sense......Spread them apart to release.
