Just bought yet another new battery and it still goes dead overnight. Have a constant amp draw of 2.9. Pulled all fuses and relays still same draw. Has the vcr console, could that be it. the whole console incuding the outlets are always on. It is the 3.3 flex fuel model. This has been a problem for about 1 1/2 years since we got it. doesn't happen everyday but most now.

 

u pulled all the fuses out of the PDC and u still have a draw?
if that is the case something is hard wared right up to the battery or a battery feed that I will need to disconnect. ALso try a module or to pcm tcm

 

The only thing i have found is the center console with the vcr and power outlets. There is a small wire attached to the hot post end for the battery. It runs the guages and instruments. Should these be running through the ignition?

 

I had a recent problem with electrical drain on my 2001 T&C LTD involving the radio. It turns out the radio on/off switch was malfunctioning (irratic volume control from the radio switch & perfect volume control from steering wheel controls). The little amber lights from the 3-band EQ on the radio stayed on when the car was off. I disconncted the radio's power and never had another problem (eventually replacing the radio from a reman'd one off eBay with added MP3 inputs). I will also state that I have really seen some weird things happen to this Chrysler's electrical system when the battery is weak, so I only troubleshoot when the battery is fully charged ... sounds like you have a strong/new battery ... just make sure is is fully charged when troubleshooting.

IMO, if this van weren't so dang comfortable (and paid for), I'd have sold it by now.

I moved the above mentioned wire where it now runs through the fuse block ignition fuse. seems to have fixed the issue. been ok since. yes the rear hatch auto open doesn't work but you can hear it beep and cycle but no open. Next project.
