2008 T&C Sick of turning on cruise control after every engine start
I'm sick of having to manually turn on the cruise control everytime I restart the engine.
When I manually turn on cruise control, I want it to stay on permanently until I disable it,
even after I shut off the engine and restart it.
Chrysler, please give us a software update to correct this issue.
Thanks and see you out there,

I've driven GM vehicles for the past 30 years. They all have a two position switch on
the turn signal/cruise control arm-lever. One position turns the cruise on, the other position
disables it. This is my first Chrysler vehicle.

What vehicle did you have prior to this that had this feature?

Okay, just curious. That's what I thought. My K1500 has the button on the stalk that you speak of. Yep, never really thought about it, but it is convenient....

chrysler vans have the same thing, they stay on even after restart, light should be showing on dash when system is on, light is off when speed control is turned off , switch is on stalk.

I would think it is because the Chrysler has electronic cruise control therefore when the power is cut to the motor (or the system by removing the key) then it cancels the cruise. I dunno, could be wrong.

Its it really that big if a deal?

I was reading in the owners manual and Chrysler talks about how dangerous it is to leave the cruise control
turned on, and how we might accidentally engage the cruise and have an accident.
They suggest we turn it off when not in use.
My guess is they went one step further here in 2008 and make it disable when we shut the engine off.
Whether we like it or not.
The next step they will take is to take away our keys and not let us drive our vehicles because of potential safety
risk. LOL!
Thanks and see you out there, maybe,
