Default Abs/brake light

2.8crd grand voyager,my abs light is on and also traction controll disabled
and now and then the brake light on dash illuminates.

also noticed if i bring the car to a stop quick ,car not moving but speedo then falls down from 10 mph to 0

whats the easiest way to check the abs sensors to find out which 1 is dodgy?

brake light coming on ?

A scan tool will tell you which has failed, or you can test the resistance with a multimeter. Though a multimeter will only tell you if the sensor has failed and wont be able to check that the sensor is correctly located and the rings are OK.

However, if 3 sensors read the same resistance and one reads different then you can be fairly sure that one is the culprit.

2 years running I got my ABS light to go out by washing around all the sensors using a pressure washer.
This MOT, it didnt work. Neither did cleaning the rings with a screwdriver and wire brush.
The garage ended up replacing the 2 front sensors, think they had test equipment good enough to tell them the sensors were u/s.
