Default Brake Lights will not go off - Help!

Dear Forum Members,

I've just got home and realised my brake lights will not go off. Key is out of ignition and still they are on. I have done a software reboot - no differeence. I have run a code faults checker using ScanGuageII but no faults showing up.

Do you have any ideas? I am due to travel over 1000 miles in the next few days (Scotland and back).

I am going to disconnect the battery - and hope in the meantime you folks may have some ideas.

The vehicle is a 2001, 3.3Ltd Grand Voyager.

Regards

ANDREW (Yateley, Hampshire, UK)

I have this problem occasionally, try lifting the brake pedal with your toe and see if it goes out.

I have cleaned the switch, then added some WD40 - appears to have fixed the problem (for now).

I'll keep a watching eye on this.

Regards

ANDREW
