Default Rear disc brake will not come off

I removed the caliper with no problem, I now am unable to remove the rotor. After lots of brake cleaner and a lot of hammering it still will not come off. Something is holding it somewhere, I was told it may be an issue with the parking brake. Any tips or advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Keep on Beating.......

The parking brake works exactly like old style drum brakes, and form a ridge or lip on the outer edge of the drum....

There is a slot for a "STAR WHEEL" adjuster in the backing plate...back the adjustment down on the shoes, and keep at it until it gets over the lip......

There have been one or two occassions where I torched the rotor down the center and broke it in half to remove it....It does happen from time to time.

Soak the wheel studs, the center ring of the rotor and the back of the rotor where it meats the wheel hub with PB blaster and let it soak for half an hour to as much as 2 hours maybe, it will eventually do it's job. Use a puller to remove the rotor, you could damage the wheel bearings if you hammer it too much. You could also wedge the rotor at an angle if you hammer it and then it's not going to budge.
