Default Brake problem

Hi all. I have a 2009 t/c with about 113.000 miles on it. I put new pads a rotors on about 2 maybe 3 thousand miles ago and it just started sounding like it's rubbing metal to metal especially on the driver's side. Can any help me? I haven't took the tire off yet I was hoping to have something to look for before I did that. Thanks for the help. David

Looks like your going to have to take the tyres off and check things out..
But you didn't say it was making grinding sound while braking or not.
Wheels off..

Sorry it's when braking. When I pull the tire off what do I look for? I'm a alright parts changer but problem solving I'm not the best. Can someone help me out with how and what parts to check. Thanks David

Your obviously going to be checking the brake pads and checking the condition of the discs. If your not into this sort of thing which is safety related you better get some help.
A better answer to this question is. Check out the renewal of brake pads on "You Tube", for your car, there you can see what's required for the job. And if the discs are badly scored they may need replacing.

Ok I will get the tires off and look at the pads. Is there a better pad to buy that might last longer then the basic advance auto recommend? Thanks so much for all your help. David
