Can you re-set the fuel tank gauge?
Hi, This is my second week of ownership of my 2001 Voyager 2.5 ltd. It had a breakdown the other day and found it was the fuel gauge showing just over quarter of a tank when in fact it was empty. The tank took 71 liters to fill it and I think the manual says it holds 75 so I know its not a fault with a broken pick up pipe in the tank.
I saw a post but cant find it now mentioning resetting the gauges. Can someone please explain what this means? I don't want to fit a new tank sender if it does not need it.
I am presuming its this that'sfaulty as the "fuel left" in the roof top digital display above says "100 miles left before fill up" when the gauge is on quarter. If the gauge itself was at fault then the digital display would be on zero miles before fill up. I think the computer would take a feed from the sender and not the gauge.
Advice on resetting or help with my problem would be really appreciated.
Many thanks
Mark

Hi folks,
Any idea about my problem above? I am going to the dealers Monday to buy a tank sender and did not want to waste my money. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Many thanks
