Catalyst problem
2010 Town and country 4.0. For over a year this van has been a nightmare. Been to 2 different garages. 1 being a chrysler dealership. They have changed plugs, wires, sensors, throttle body, egr, O2 Sensors etc. Still having problems. It has gotten better but starting hard. Over the last couple months we have been slowly losing coolant but it's not leaking on the ground and we are not smelling coolant burning off of anything. There is no coolant in the oil either. Is it possible that I have a bad head gasket a d coolant is leaking into the exhaust port and causing an issue with the cat and throwing things off causing it to start hard? It cranks very strong but won't fire until I put the accelerator to the floor for a quick second. After it starts it idles around 770. Drives ok too. Just starts hard
Sometimes it will start right up as it should. Most of the time you turn tge key and it just cranks. Cranks very strong but no fire until I push the accelerator to the floor quickly and then it will fire and idle ok. It is also getting poor fuel mileage. It gives 2 codes and both involve the catylis system. 0420 and I can't remember the other for sure but they both involve the catalytic converter and bank 1.
