Default Center instrument cluster lamps on 2003 Voyager

I am replacing burned out lamps on my 2003 Voyager. The ones in the radio I am going to replace with LED's since they are soldered onto the circuit board but the ones for the AC/Heat & blower controls are the ones I am trying to find. They are about 3/4" tall with a white base and blue covering. These twist lock into the back of the circuit board. Does anyone know the part number or a bulb I can use to replace them with?

Thanks in advance.

Neal

No luck here when I tried this, so instead I used some glass bead lamps I got from Maplins (about £1.50 each?), but you can use LEDs too... Just solder directly onto the pads that you can see once you undo the twistlock base.

Hope that helps.

Cheers

Thanks for replying GrahamLemon. I went to Radio Shack and actually found some lamps that worked! The package is labeled 272-1092 and the bulb numbers are #7219. These are 12 volt 60 ma with wire leads about 4 inches long. The down side to these is the are half as long as the original bulbs. I was unable to remove the blue silicon cover though. I unwrapped the wire from the old socket VERY carefully since they had signs of lots of heat and I didn't want to break them. I inserted the bulbs and rewrapped the wire around the sockets. Even though they don't stick out as far as the old bulbs, they do provide enough light to get the job done. These are the same size as the bulbs used in the AM/FM/CD unit for those interested. The only draw back is, these bulbs are 12 volt and the ones in the radio are probably 6 volt and are wired in series of groups of two (2 bulbs in series then in parallel with other groups of 2). They could be used but would be half as dim. The bulbs in the radio are also soldered onto the front circuit board and would be a pain to replace if you didn't know how to solder well. I think Radio Shack has some 6 volt bulbs that are the same size. They also had a package of 3 bulbs (Red, Green & Yellow) that were 12 volts and another of 6 volt bulbs. These are about as long as the mini christmas lights. I have pictures I took during the process but I cannot attach them. The only problem with LED's is you need to figure which side of the contact is ground otherwise the LED will not light. I may replace the ones in the radio with LED's if I have trouble with them again. Two were out and I started thumping them gently till they came back on.

Thanks for the reply! I hope the LED's last a long time!
