I have a 2002 voyager 3.3 and i have a tire wobble no matter what speed i am driving in my front left. Could this be the CV joint. I have replaced the tie rods and front left hub. I am trying to find out why i am getting a large wobble with out taking it to a mechanic.

 

Tyre wobble sounds like a knackered tyre, having ply's coming apart inside. Dunlop tyres are bad for that, after being kerbed or run flat.

 

its a full wobble you can feel the tire actually move back and forth. and they are brand new tires within the past month. Could that big of a wobble still be the tires?

 

Reverse around wheels, front to back and see what ensues, to eliminate tyres/wheels.

snc...- Have you checked the control arm bushings?

 

New tyres inside the last month you say? Were they balanced properly? And did this "wobble" come about just after the new tyres? Jack the wheel off the ground and feel for any looseness when pulling the wheel one hand on top one hand on bottom. This should show a loose or knackered wheel bearing. I don't know this car's type, but most have a taper-roller bearing and castle nut that can be adjusted in the standard way.

Has a wheel been bashed against against a kerb unbeknown to you causing it to be bent? You can check easily while wheel is off the ground.

Otherwise you're going to need to check every ball-joint etc. to do with the steering.

CV joins can be checked easily, there should be no play at all in any position of the steering wheel. Try turning the input shaft while holding the wheel tight -- there should be no play at all, again in any position of the steering wheel.
