Default CV-joint dis-assembly

Hi

I've got a 2008 Town Country with a bad wheel hub front left that needs to be replaced, but the CV-joint axle is really stuck in the hub, removing the drive-shaft from the CV-joint would make things easier pressing the CV-joint out of the hub.

Is it possible to remove the drive shaft from the outer CV joint, with destroying anything?

Thanks!

With the axle nut still on but loosen'd to protect the threads, did you try a sharp "rap" with a large hammer after spraying a good (PB Blaster) penetrating oil to the spline area?
