EML Lambda Sensor issue
engine management light has been on since i have had the car .. car runs perfect no issues .. car has gone in for a service so i told them to investigate the light and fix .. so the diagnosic pulled up bank 1 lambda sensor hi/low imput .. they have changed the sensor for a good quality ngk one .. but still the light wont reset and keep throwing the lambda code ..
they have checked the emissions and all readings are spot on .
anyone have any advice how to clear the fault or if there is another issue somewhere
car 2005 uk spec grand voyager 3.3 limited xs
thanks in advance

while I'm not as familiar with petrols as I am with diesels just because there is a lambda sensor fault code it doesn't mean the sensor is faulty.
What it means it that the signal from the sensor is not what the ECU expects to see under the the current conditions. This can be caused by the sensor, wiring, excess unburnt fuel in exhaust stream etc.
If the sensor has been changed then the next thing to check would be the voltages to the sensor at the sensor, the signal back from the sensor at the sensor and ECU and to look at the live data to see what the ECU believes the sensor is saying....which can be different to reality!

I dont have a Witech, Starscan or DRBIII which are the original chysler tools, but I do have a diagnostic tool that can read what's needed for this
PM me if it's not too far and you want to come over
