Engine noise
I have a 2008 Chrysler Town & Country Limited with the 4.0 engine it has approximately 150K on it. It had all the service at 120K, timing belt, water pump, spark plugs changed. Recently it threw codes PO206 and PO306 and determined it was the fuel injector on cylinder 6. After replacing the injector I started the engine and it ran smooth. Shortly after starting it up it started a ticking or clattering sound from the engine on the passenger side of the engine. I took it for a short drive and it ran great. The noise persisted, mostly noticeable at idle but still detectible at higher RPM after just a couple miles the noise went away. This happens every time the vehicle is cold. It does not make the sound initially but maybe about 30 seconds to a minute after start up. I let it idle and it goes until the temperature gauge starts to rise and the then the noise just stops. I drove it about 150 miles the other day and went to a few places and every time we started it up, no problem. It only seems to manifest when cold, shortly after start up until it starts to warm up. I never had this issue until the fuel injector replacement. Thoughts?
