Hi,
I have a 2010 Town & Country with the 3.8L engine. In the last 3 months i replaced the spark plugs, spark plug cables and the coil pack. about a month ago, the engine started to stall at a stop light and i had error code PO403, I went to Auto Zone and got a new EGR and replaced it, cleared the codes and took it on a spin, within a few minutes the code came back up, i cleaned up the carbon that was in the tube attached to the EGR, i don't know what to do now? Did i get a bad EGR valve?

I've been driving with the code, it idles ruff some times, the other day i got a new Code P0128, i have noticed that the temp gauge wasn't reaching the middle like it normally did, it was running cooler? i replaced the Thermostat, but that didn't solve my problem, still running cool? Should i replace the Engen coolant sensor?

Also i got a P0305, P0205 code saying Injector 5 - circuit malfunction, so do i replace the #5 full injector?

One thing that i wonder about, is the wiring harness that connects all these things going bad? I seam to be chasing my tail with these replacement parts. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!

 

P0403 could well be the egr solenoid. This is easy to check. watch this video . You might find that you only get 8 volts with out the engine running and 10 volts when running.

 

What is the age and condition of the battery? Chrysler electronics are sensitive to proper voltages and do tolerate low voltages.
