Default Rear door stuck

Hi, I'm trying to fix my friends 1999 town and country. The rear door/hatch stuck closed. Taking off the trim showed that the button would trigger the unlocking arm when switched but it still wouldn't open. Which part should i replace? The latch attatched too the door that locks into the rest of the car?

stick your arm down the back of the rear hatch panel and pull up on the latch to open the trunk.
