Default Steering wheel buttons illuminated?

Ok Gentlemen, the question is I have a 2006 Touring Signature Series, I noticed the other night while driving my newly aquired van home that there is no illumination on the steering wheel. Is there supposed to be? If so I would imagine one fuse might control all of them? Such as Cruise control? Everthing else seems fine, all other buttons and lights are ok. If it is a fuse, anyone know where to look....fuse number / location?

Just under you own post are 5 'Similar Thread' suggestions from the forum engine. One of them is here, best of luck Eddie A. Steiner.

I will take that as a no....they are not illuminated. Kinda weird that Chrysler puts all this money into a "luxurious" van and doesn't illuminate the wheel. Poor designing that could of been cheaply redesigned.

I wondered the same thing and asked the same question some time ago
But you will find the buttons in the dark on touch pretty soon, I am so used to it that I dont need light anymore

My 'driving brain' knows instinctively know where my own fingertips are, and its a good job too if I'm pointing a 2 1/4 ton lump of metal down a road towards schoolchildren my friend. Neither do I need a 'rim lit' foot-brake to know where my brake pedal nor an articulated mirror arrangement to show me the radio buttons are on the underside of the steering wheel.

You have the QinteQ' camp who think they are a distraction, and a safety issue and the Steiner clans who want them lit regardless of others who find them unnecessary. As Vmaxxer says you very quickly know where they are. Best of luck Eddie.
