Default T&C 2008 STalling (TIPM) ??

It appears that I might have a Tipm issue.

My Van starts up in the morning just fine. I drive it for 3 blocks then it starts to stall. It will continue to stall for about 15 seconds... Then runs fine.

Also in the morning the dash lights on occasion goes wacko and the wipers come on. Then I restart and it works fine.

So:

1. Do you think it is the Tipm?
2. I understand it is expensive. Can I pull one off a wrecked van and replace it on mine? Would it work? Would it need to be programed to work or programmed later for everything to work?

Hi blobsaw,

I would highly recommend having a technician look at the vehicle to obtain an accurate diagnosis before you start replacing major parts in the vehicle. Please let me know if you would like assistance in scheduling an appointment at your local servicing dealership. I'd be happy to help in any way I can.

Could be. That's about all anyone can say without troubleshooting. As for TIPM replacements, new TIPMs can be installed and "programmed" by the owner. Used TIPMs have to be reprogrammed by a dealership. They are married to the van forcing dealership reprogramming.

Default Codes and Blinking Dash and Wipers

p0032 and p0038 But here is the issue not in the previous threads.

Today I picked up my Van from the Dealership. Had them replace the Electronic wireless Key system Under Recall. It had been doing this issue of blinking dash and wipers once in awhile. After a few hours it is doing it all the time. See video.

I have picked up a Tipm module from a friend who had a salvaged Van. I have not done anything with it yet. So Erica. I might have to go back to the dealership. But I was hoping to put this TiPM in and at least see if it resolves the issue.

Keep us posted on the result and let me know if there's anything I can do to be of assistance.
