Where is sleaford? lol. Any news can you hear the fuel pump run? and have you check the rail?

 

i can hear the pump run. i have not cheked the rail yet. i took the car to a authorized dealer they say the computer cant find any faults they asked for 4 more hours to investigate the matter at a whopping 100 nots an hour. i will be pulling it out of there and find a cheaper mechanis. i will try the rail tommorrow and hopefully this will solve the problem. it has been sugested that the cam sensor is at fault any comments/?

Cam sensors are more common (or the wiring to it) that I hear from other dealers but I have not fitted one in 6 years so not common in my eyes.

Have you had your engine management system reset?

also have you done a leakback test on your injectors...
1 this will tell you if you are getting fuel to the injectors &
2 will tell which -if any- injectors are playing up.

Your simptons are very similiar to my project... all I have to do now is get the injector out that I know is faulty!!

He has already had 4 injectors that that test should be fine.

 

Just a reset the management system then?

myth has it that they reset thenselves after 15mins or 20 miles. All I know is that after 3 hours and 100 miles I went to get mine reset!

But probably you will need help of a specialist who knows about diagnosing problems with the Voyager common rail system. In my experience authorized dealers sometimes lack the necessary knowledge for that. Go to someone like Merlin, or find a company that specializes in common rail systems.

 

enginemanagement system reset, sounds expensive. just replaced the cam senser, another 75 nots down the drain that aint it. its been sugested that the cam belt has slipt and the timing is off . and its also been sugested, which i suspected from the start thet the catalic cenverter is so jamed up that it wount let it start, any sugestions?

 

No to both when the belt timing is out the rockers will snap unless it's only very slightly. You can start it on easy start so that rules out a blocked exhaust.
