Default Voyager 2003 2.5CRD Sump Pan Washer ?

Have drained my sump and removed filter finally. Not it comes to replacing the sump pan copper washer. Now as I know there's copper washers and copper washers. Most are flat, some 1mm thick, some 1.4, some 1.5mm. Now to make a good seal copper needs to be annealed, softened so to speak by heating and quenching. So if you buy a new copper washer and it bends easily its annealed and ready to fit. I've got a selecting pack here and they don't bend without force. The best ones I've used are the o'ring section ones as they crush easily when plug tightened. So I've checked Fleebay etc. loads of these thin washers but I'm not happy with these. So anyone know where I can get a good washer, o'ring section preferably. Plug is 16.35mm o/d thread so it may not be metric, will check with my thread gauge tomorrow.

Oooops forgot to size the thread. Anyway got a replacement washer from my mechanic friend but I had to surface and anneal it. It was a screw on fit onto plug so obviously it was 16mm. Still need clarification as to the correct washer. Just wondering if the Citroen crush o ring type one is the right size.

I just dig through a box of assorted washers and find one that goes over, haven't had a leak yet on a sump plug

Regards
Richard

Yes Richard I had some odd ones that fitted various cars, but I set about an oil and filter change and all is held up due to a little washer. I bought about 8 Citroen crush o section washers many years ago from a garage in Peebles after parts guy said they were only 40p. They did for quite a few sump plugs afterwards on various cars. They require to be definite stock in the tool box. Looking into this o section Citroen one HFX227 at 99p to see if its 16mm bore.
