Unhappy Winter comes! And my heater packs in!!!

Hi guys...

Well as the title says! The wasbo? Heater that lives under the drives side isn't work now when it was before! When we turn it on there use to be 3 yellow(like wiggle snake/arrows) lights come on the dash! But now they don't work! Well they sometimes work now and you can hear the heater power up under the car.

I've done a key dance and P0487 comes on that say about the EGR valve problem! But reading some threads it would appear that this can be caused by a dirty MAF.

Is there a fuse for the heater? And is this code linked to the heater not working?

Any help would be welcomed guys

Cheers

Tim

If it was any other way you would be out of fuel, stuck on a motorway miles from anywhere. The car has to protect itself, better that the engine keeps running.

ricesnaps, I think the heater TimmyTim was talking about is the auxillary heater which I think, QinteQ please correct me if I'm wrong, is only fitted to diesel engined versions. The regular heater isn't dependant on the amount of fuel in the tank.

HiYa AlanC, yes they are only on the Ltd & above versions of the 2.8 CRD Voyager. ricesnaps '02 UK version 3.3 doesn't have the Webasto Thermo Top. He does however have a leak on his cooling system.
