Default 2006 sebring 2.4L 80k miles

Ok a week age it jerked 3 times and stalled.. then wouldn't start again. It sent code for camshaft.. replaced it still nothing. Then saw timing belt was missing teeth. Had it replaced. Car now starts . Then had the crank sensor and spark plugs replaced aswell.. the car now runs but not great.. doesn't make any sounds but it idles rough its stalls on stop 1/2 of the time and sometimes hard shift on 2nd gear.

No codes but engine light is on.. was told it is map sensor or fuel pump by my father.. help plz I need my car running good since I am the care taker of 2 elderly bed ridden ppl..

I would suggest rechecking the timing belt to be certain the marks all line up. The rough idle tells me the timing may be off by a tooth.

Regarding the plugs, only Champion or NGK copper plugs are recommended. Platinum/Iridium plugs do not seem to work as well as the copper ones. The spark plug wires are probably due, should be changed out every 60,000 miles (every other spark plug change).

My preference is OEM/mopar sensors only for the cam and crank sensors. I have problems with auto parts store sensors right out of the box.

If the engine light on, there are codes. May need a different code reader to pull the codes. A number of auto parts stores will read the codes and give you a printout.

Keep your focus on the timing belt, plugs and sensors at this time. The motor was running until the timing belt issue so start with the recently replaced parts.

Default update

Ok replaced the map sensor yesterday n put the old cam sensor in.. it runs alittle better but still stalls when parking or going into rev to drive n drive to rev. 1st to 2nd gear still putters every so often but let off gas and it shifts smoothly. At stop the idle is still tough ...

Then noticed the mechanic broke 1/2 the case around the code reader

Replaced therostat due to overheating..
But will get new o2 sensor this weekend. Then saw i will have to do a reset by disconnecting battery for an hour. Hopefully this works to get everything inline

Recommend only use oem/NTK/Denso O2 sensors. Other O2 sensors do not play well with Chryslers. Bosch are more miss than hit, I suggest avoiding them.
