Just had a VES installed in my 2010 T&C, did not come with it from the factory and had a basic stock radio. The dealership put an REQ radio in w/ the VES system. DVD will not play through the VES, but rather through the REQ head unit. The VES remote is basically useless, as everything must be done through the radio itself. It seems the only thing the VES system does is turn on the TV screens. Did the dealership wire this wrong, or did they put the wrong radio in? Thanks for any help!

 

Sounds like they configured it wrong after the fact.

 

That's exactly what happened, brought it to dealership today, they had to reconfigure or run a new code through the radio...all is well!
