Won't engage overdrive
Hey Guys/Gals,
Hope you can help me with this. I have a 2001 LHS with 150,000 miles, and the tranny shifts fine up until the 3-4 shift.....then it feels like it bangs down to first and jerks violently until I put it back in 3rd, and then it drives fine, but in 3rd...no overdrive. I haven't seen this particular issue in the forum.
Any thoughts/ideas/help will be appreciated.

Unless you can rebuild transmissions, I suggest a tranny shop.
Hey you never know, maybe there is some check valve or electronic control that can be replaced. Sadly though, it will probably be inside the case.
