Hi.. I recently bought a 2005 Sebring Convertible by auction from a storage facility that auctioned car and contents off because of non payment and by the Storage Liens Act.
They are giving me an affidavit to that effect so I can get ownership. There is no keys for car, but I was able to get a key from dealer so I could get in car and get it out of park to transport it home.
With that key I was able to start car and it would run for 2 sec and shut off. When I did that, heard a knocking in engine, so i let different people listen to it so as to get an idea what noise was. After a # of times starting it, it now will not crank over as I believe the security system has disabled it.!!!
Is there anyway without towing it to dealer to bypass security to get it to run..???

 

If it were that easy it wouldn't be much of a security system would it?
