Default Hello from Estonia!

Hello, I am new here.
I have a 2006 Voyager with 286k km. It is in good condition and I hope to keep it that way without spending more than the vehicle is worth. That is where the forums come in! Thank you so much for doing what you do. It already has saved me some time in the past when my father pointed out that there is smoke coming out from under the vehicle. I was able to quickly identify that it was just the Westabo auxiliary heater. Turns out it was smoking so badly because coolant was burning in it as well and now I have a question about that... Is the aux heater hooked into the main coolant loop so that the coolant goes there even when its power is disconnected? Or is is in a side loop that coolant doesn't reach unless the aux heater powers on.
Basically I want to know whether or not coolant will still go to the aux heater if I disconnect power to the aux heater? I don't believe so, but I'd like some advise before touching its power supply. In autumn, before the outside temperature dropped, everything was fine. I only began to lose coolant when the aux heater would come on. This leads me to believe that it is a separate coolant loop and there is a valve that will open when it comes on. Is this rationale correct? If the leak is in the pipes going to the aux heater, will disconnecting the heater's power prevent the coolant from reaching the leaky pipes?
I suppose I should probably post my question in a more appropriate thread, I will soon if I don't get much reply here. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. There are several Voyager owners who hang out in the Voyager and Town and Country section of the forum further down the front page. It's more likely that you will get an answer to your question if you post there. Good luck.
