Default Seatbelt Chime

I have a 2004 2.7L Chrysler Sebring convertible. Once I put it in gear, the seatbelt chime sounds a set of five chimes, 12 times in a row. That's a total of 60 chimes EVERY time I put it in gear and start moving! The driver's-side seatbelt chime is disabled (by turning on the ignition, buckling and unbuckling the seatbelt three times in 10 seconds and turning the ignition off) and the passenger seat is empty when it does this. I've disconnected both driver- and passenger-side seatbelt sensors to no avail. Can someone please tell me how I can fix this!? Cuz it's starting to drive me a little nuts! Any info anyone can give me will be greatly appreciated.
