my name is Bob live in Hastings fl. I own a 2001 pt cruiser and need some help I was having an issue of loosing antifreeze from my engine coolant system. Soon discovered I had a bad radiator as well as a problem of water backing up into overflow jug. It also was not allowing fluids to flow from overflow back into radiator. I replaced with new; radiator, bottom hose, thermostat, overflow hose. The thermostat that I bought was one with the hole in flange of thermostat. the one removed I do not believe had the hole. In refilling the system I used all 50/50 green pre mix. I allowed for engine to heat up and for water to flow and then shut down and cool and proceeded to finish filling with 50/50. Now comes test drive. total drive was about 60 miles after backing up from first stop noticed a little antifreeze on ground but could not see a leak or steam. that was at 5 mile of drive. then at the thirty mile mark I was a grocery store and upon backing up I noticed a small amount of antifreeze on ground but no steam and no leaks. Upon completing the final 30 miles and arriving back home the car was now steaming at fire wall and antifreeze was gurgling back into overflow. After cooling down I popped radiator cap and level was lower than when I checked before 60 mile test. The car is not trusted and sitting but is my only mode of transportation I have no idea where to go other than renting a pressure tester and making sure I have no more leaks. Please Help Need Car

I also forgot to mention the base of the thermostat housing has a bleeder valve and not sure of purpose.
