I bought a used 2011 Town and Country Touring L. I was really hoping to be able to connect my phone to it but it keeps saying uconnect phone is not available. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I have removed the Fuses that are recommended on other sites, and removed the battery cable and touched them together. I also see some websites say to press and hold the volume and tuning ***** while turning it to the run position but this van only has a volume ****. We don't have a dealer locally, so short of driving it to another town, I am lost.
