2012 Chrysler 200 trailer arm
I’m trying to replace the rear driver side trailing arm. I’ve got all the bolts off but do not know how to get the cable that runs through it off. I believe it’s the e-break. Any ideas. Thanks

Yes that is the E-brake cable. It has to be disconnected from the parking brake actuating arm and the cable sheath disconnected from its mounting point at the backing plate. Then you can bring the cable thru the hole in the trailing arm. YUP, there is some brake work involved in changing the trailing arm.

Just woke up and NO MORNING COFFEE YET!!
depending on whether you have drum or disc rear brakes, the drum or rotor must be removed and the shoes probably have to be removed to have working room to unhook the cable eyelet end from the arm and work on releasing the clip that locks the cable to the backing plate. If you're in a high rust area region, have lots of penetrating oil handy

You'll have to remove the rear caliper and take the rotor off, parking brake system is inside the "hat" of the rotor. It is set up much the same as a drum brake system..just no wheel cylinder.
