Default AC system will not take 2nd can of freon

2006 Sebring system was vacuumed and the first can went in ok but when I hooked up the 2nd can, the system would not take it. Sticker on car says system should have 24 oz (2 12 oz cans). The low side pressure would go down to 0, high side cycled between 150 and 200, the temp outside was 70, top left vent was blowing 60. Any ideas

low side 0 and high 200? something wrong with that like a clog is the needles jumping around? Did you make sure the low side is clipped on correctly?

Low side goes to 0 and the high side will drop to 150 when the cooling fans engage. Needles are steady. Couplings are correct and not leaking.

Default AC low side charge?

Hi, so if low side is zero, do we add freon to the low side to bring it upto 20 psi ?
or does the system do that automatically when you charge the high side upto 200 psi ?
Thank you

its one big system adding low or high side will add equally amounts to the system . think of it like a garden hose You turn on the line water fills up the whole hose. Then you kink it or put something else in the middle to disrupt the flow then you have different pressures but the same amount of water in the line..
Freon is the same but with a gas. If you have 200 and 0 you have a clog or kink.
