Oil Pressure Light/oil type Question
I have a 2005 Sebring convertible with 2.7 engine and 90,000 miles. The oil pressure light was coming on at idle. I replaced the sensor and the light still comes on at idle after being fully warmed-up. This issue only begun when I changed my oil to 10w-30 from 10w-20. This probably has no bearing on the issue, but I thought I would just mention it. The engine does not burn any oil at all and runs well.
I believe if I could rise the idle only maybe 75-100 rpm the light would not come on. But, there is no idle adjustment on this engine. So my question is would going to a thicker oil a solution - say 10W-40? or even an oil thickener additive?
Thanks - any comments welcomed.

Check your owners manual for the recommended oil, and use that. If you don't have an owners manual, download it from chrysler.com. You should also have the actual oil pressure checked to make sure that your actual oil pressure is correct.
There is a small passage that leads to the low pressure light switch. If that is/was clogged but not cleaned out when they changed the switch, it could be the cause of the problem. If that's the cause of the problem, heavier weight oil will not solve it, but actually make it worse. You were already running the heaviest oil recommended. You switched to an even heavier weight oil and the problem cropped up. That should tell you something.

A 2.7 with that many miles and out of warranty.. I would try a treatment of Lucas brand motor oil treatment, just add it the slight overage is not going to hurt it any! I don't think the treatment is any more the .5 to .75 of a quart.
Make sure the bulb isn't burned out.
Assuming you're talking about the 2.7L engine:
There used to be and may still be a "how to" over at the Chrysler Sebring Convertible Club website with pictures showing the guard over the sender which is held in place with three bolts.
You come at it from underneath.
