PROBLEMS WITH 2004 SEBRING... PLEASE HELP
I HAD BOUGHT MY CAR 6 MONTHS AGO. FOR THE FIRST TWO MONTHS OR SO I HAD NO PROBLEMS. NOW.... CRAZY! I THINK BETTY HATES ME! SHE ACCELERATES WHEN I'M AT A COMPLETE STOP. IT STUDDERS WHEN I'M DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY LIKE IT WANTS TO DIE. IT HAS DIED ON ME A FEW TIME FOR NO REASON. AND THE TIRES MAKE A WHINNING NOISE. I REGULARLY MAINTAIN HER. SO I HAVE NO CLUE WHY SHE DOES ALL THIS. PLEASE HELP!
does the engine rev up is that what u are talking about ?? does it happen when u stop and it still wants to go or what?? more info have u done a rotate and balance??
Hey Chrysler Tech. My wife's 2004 Sebring Conv. Touring is having the same problem. It wants to jump ahead at stoplights even with a foot on the brake. She is also having the killing problem. She said usually after its warm.I would love it if you could shed some light on this. Dealership claims its because tranny fluid need replacement. Is this possible...not that it doesn't need replacing.
the fluid replacement would be a good start.does this sould like your prob?
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Engine stumbles, runs rough, idle fluctionation, or surge when at idle or coming to a stop.

turning and stopping. It may also occur when the gas tank was recently filled or idling with
A/C on.

I am getting surging problem at the light but not the dying problem..Had a suggestion from another forum that I am going to check into..
"I would take a close look at the 41TE transaxle output speed sensor and connector. A poor connection or the sensor itself may be 'tickling' the speed signal output wire with a voltage and creating a false speed signal."
Has anyone had a solution to this? Mine may also be related to the outdoor temperature because it does not seem to do as much when it is colder if this makes any sense..
