Default Transmission issue

I have a 2006 Chrysler Sebring with 106K on the od. So when I start my car and drive it shifts as it should but when it gets warmed up I feel something slip and it no longer go through the gears. It’s like driving in 3 or L. It revs higher with speed. I also have a TC of p0499 not sure if that’s related or not.

The trouble code relates to an EVAP system problem. More specifically the computer see's too much pressure in the system and not venting. NOT related to shifting operation of the trans, When or has the trans oil and filter ever been replaced? Thats the cheapest and easiest(and needed about every 60k miles) thing to do IF you are a DIY'er.

I had the car for maybe 3 months now and as far as I know it never been done. Coincidentally I saw a video replacing the tranny filter and it seemed easy enough so that’s something I’ll check into. Would fixing the evap issue be something I could handle myself?

I'm not familiar with your models EVAP system "layout" for ease of working with it to say.

So I changed the filter and oil but 2 days later it started again.
I’m thinking of changing the evap canister, how does that sound?
