pacifica remote start
#2
Per page 28 of your Owner's Manual:
"All of the following conditions must be met before the engine will remote start:
• Gear Selector in PARK
• Doors closed
• Hood closed
• Liftgate closed
• Hazard switch off
• Brake switch inactive (brake pedal not pushed)
• Battery at an acceptable charge level
• PANIC button not pushed
• System not disabled from previous remote start event
• Vehicle alarm system indicator flashing
• Ignition in STOP/OFF position
• Fuel level meets minimum requirement"
There is a chance due to the cold your vehicle's battery wasn't at an acceptable charge level, did you try and use the remote start after driving later that day?

remote start problem
thanks for replying.
i did try the remote start after driving the vehicle and it worked just fine. it's only after sitting over night with temperature below about 15 degrees that i have the problem. took it to the dealer to have it checked out, of course i had driven it 20 miles so it checked out ok. service manager said i may have to leave it overnite. i guess that's what i'll have to do. never had a problem like this with my previous chrysler mini vans.
