Remote Key Problems
I have a 2007 Pacifica. I have 2 remote keys that are after market keys. I had the local Chrysler dealer cut and program them for my car using the VIN. They work fine except I have to wiggle them around a little to get them to work in the ignition so they were not cut perfectly.
I just bought 2 new Chrysler (OEM) blank keys and had a locksmith cut them according to my Pacifica's key number. The keys work great, much better than the ones the dealer cut. Since I had 2 working keys, I used the owners manual procedure to program my 2 new keys. It seemed to work except the remote lock/unlock/liftgate/panic doesn't work. It starts and runs fine so that part of the programming was successful. I've swapped the battery's which didn't fix it.
So my old 2 remotes work find but the new ones don't, even though they are correctly programmed to the ignition. Any ideas on what the problem is?.
