Hello all,

I have a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country Sport. The problem I am having with it is that when one turns the Heating and A/C Control Switch all the way up, it stops blowing at all. This happens for Heat and A/C. Do you all have any suggestions on where I should start on troubleshooting this problem, or maybe a solution?

Heater Resistor Module.
If your blower only works in high position its the Resistor.
If your blower runs all the time even when A/C switched off and as soon as you put key in the ignition, its the Resistor.
I got one at beginning of this month, there's loads to choose from. Mine eventually came from Smart Sense at £24.99 after cheaper one I had ordered asked if I was willing to wait another fortnight, after waiting a week.

 

Of course check the fuses and relays first...

 

Thanks for the quick answer, but here is a more in depth idea of the operation of the switch.

When it is off, it is off. In all positions EXCEPT high the blower will run. When it is on the Last Highest position, the fan turns off completely. Is this still the resistor module?

The resister module is not just a resistor it also incorporates the direct power source for the high position for the blower. See pics for this.
1/2/3 speeds go into resistor and one wire out to blower.
4th speed wire looks direct from speed switch/controller but its not as it comes through the resister module as well.

 

The test & replace for your model is the newer replacement ones do not have the heat cage.
