There was one point after adjusting the handbrake shortly after getting the car that the handbrake light stayed on. I checked the handbrakes and found they were off so just used the car. Light disappeared by itself. So it must have been a memory thing. There is a switch on the side of the handbrake casing with finger on the handbrake of course.
