Default Cabin Heater runs for 30 minutes or more

On my 2.8 CRD 2007 Grand Voyager the cabin heater works well, but continues to run for 30 or 40 minutes even though the engine is up to full working temperature and the temperature setting in the cabin is 68f or 20c. According to the manual and other posts on the forum it is supposed to run for a maximum of 15 minutes. On my previous car, 2001 2.5 CRD, the cabin heater only stayed on for 15 mins max.

Does anyone have any experience of this problem?

What do you mean by Full Working Temperature. 1/4 on gauge, 1/2 or Full.

If the digital cabin temp is set to MAX it might never shut off regardless of 1/2 or 1/4 on the temp gauge

Thanks for your replies. The temperature gauge sits just below halfway when the engine has been running for a few minutes.

The cabin temperature is set to around 68f/18c, so someway below the maximum (the highest I have seen it set is 72f, which is what it was when I bought the car - way too high for me for comfort!)
