I have two questions pertaining to our 2007 T&C Limited;

1) Our 6 disc DVD changer got jammed, causing disc errors and rendering it unusable. When I was in the junk yard, I found an '06 Limited, and snagged the DVD player out of it for $30. Yesterday I went to swap them, and the new unit ALSO has "disc error" once both plugs are put in and it cycles through the changer. Quite possible that the impact on the wrecked vehicle caused damage internally also. I eventually dissassembled our original DVD player and got 5 of the 6 DVD's out. I also extracted a penny from it... However I was very gentle and careful upon disassembly and reassembly and even still upon re-install, it still generated a "Disc Error".

Is there some synchronization I need to do between the DVD player and HU? Or is it just plug-n-play.

2) Our Gauge backlighting has a few bulbs out. I think they are PC74's. Is this correct? How many? I think 8, but I would replace them with LED's which I would need to order. I only want to take it apart once.

 

Question #2 I have confirmed by searching. Just need to know the count.
