I'm a pratt, I offered to loan goggsy 4 good axle stands and 2 trolly jacks for his brakes job and I've just noticed he lives in Forrest of Ae, Dumfries, a 6 hour and nearly 300 miles round trip away.

 

Yes the Renault 5 thermostat without cutting it down, just rubbed a bit of vaseline around the inside of the hose & pushed it down, then fastened with a jubilee clip round the outside.

I drilled a 1.5-2mm hole in the outer edge to stop it getting air locked.

 

Don't worry about my equipment QinteQ I've got 4 axle stands, 3 ton trolley jack, welders, grinders, pit shaft slide blocks used as packing and oddles and oddles of tools, more than I need. Just need good weather.

 

Leave it till Easter - I do, unless you have an MOT test due or the fault is dangerous it will wait. Even approaching 60 I'd throw a coat on a lay on the snow all day ............. but not now, no thanks - it will wait.
