Can any body tell me where to locate the blower resistor?

 

Still need to know bc i do. Im a lil late though.

 

I am having the same problem with my a/c running only on high. I would like to replace the motor resister and the blower switch. Can you tell me where they are located. I have a 2000 Chrysler Cirrus.

under glove box by heater vent. take off panel. disconnect wiring connector, this is motor resistor. i replaced mine, but less than a month later, i only had high again. mopar said i could return burnt resistor once, but if that blows also, i have greater problem.

 

What is the solution to this problem, replace blower motor or improve resistor? What fails in the resistor block? Is their a better spec. diode available? Seems if they work for a month they could be beefed up some to last longer.

 

replace the blower motor resistor if it fails again the blower motor is drawing to many amps and that will need to be replaced

 

Have 1999 Cirrus - no problems until we have lost all but "HI" on blower speeds. From above posts, seems this is a problem with (at least) the 2000s. Do I need a new part, a take-apart-and-fix service call, or what???

im not a machanic so take my advise for what its worthi went a whole year and replaced blower motor resistor three different times in my breeze then to come to find out it was the blower motor . so save your self 20-30 bucks or the price of one at a pull yard and just spend the money and take care of the problem and replace the blower motor. i was told it was the blower motor by a machanic and got it replaced and hav'nt had a problem since been about two years.
