Default Cruise Control

I have a 2002 Concorde. When I hit the cruise button, the dash ligh comes on, but only for a few seconds and then goes off, with the cruise not working. I'm assuming theres an electronic companent controlling this. Does anybody know where it is, what it might cost to replace, and is this something a moderately skilled mechanic can do? Thanks in advance!

Default RE: Cruise Control

need a scan tool or volt meater so u can see if the switch is sending out the correct signal or if u havea control servo doing bad either way a scan tool will be able to check the code in the BCM or PCM where it is stored.
