Transmission still not working right after 4 fixes
This is an update of previous post. More detail of issue.
2012 Town and Country Limited- The transmission started whining, stopped the van. Put it back in drive and pushed on the gas, rpm's revved up and van jumped a little but would no longer move forward easily. Towed it to Chrysler-they rebuilt the transmission. Took it home, one week later, did the same thing. Back to Chrysler-they replaced the new pump they had put in when they rebuilt it. Picked it up, got 5 miles up the road and it started whining and doing the same rpm revving thing when trying to shift. Back to Chrysler 2 more times, they replaced the filter both times, drove it and said it was fine. Got it back yesterday, no whining sound but shifts hard and when you slow down, it jumps like it is going over the rumble grates in the road. Have all of the paperwork from all of the trips. Any ideas what's next?

Update on the terrible tranny
My daughter took her van to another dealership to be worked on because it was still not right. Today, the other place she took it told her that there was a piece that comes in every rebuild kit that the original dealership never replaced in all of the 4 times they had it there. Since they didn't replace that part, it is not warrantied, so she has to pay again to have the transmission rebuilt and she has to have a torque converter put in as well because they never checked that either. First trip cost $3000.00 and this trip is costing another $3000.00 because of the incompetence of a certain dealership in Utah. Way to go guys

Yet another example of what happens when you don't go to a specialist. Dealerships rarely rebuild transmissions. They would much rather just replace them; in fact a dealership may subcontract out the rebuilding part of the job to a transmission shop. Transmission shops rebuild transmissions all day, every day and have a lot of experience that a dealership technician just doesn't have. There are other things that specialists are much better than dealerships for, such as convertible tops, upholstery, stereos and things like that. If the car is off warranty, seek out a specialist. If you have a heart problem, don't go to a general practitioner.
For that incompetent repair that set you back $3000, you might want to talk to a lawyer (a specialist of course). Your other option is going to small claims court.
