Good luck with that. They had my car in the shop for 4 weeks replacing the transmission and it cam back with the exact same bump. The issue is caused by the programming of the shift points, not the actual transmission. Hopefully, they release an update soon...

I've thought about it, but love the car. I'm pretty hopeful they release an update soon, especially since the 8 speed transmission is going into so many more models now. They have to address this issue. Check out other 300/Charger forums, you will see SEVERAL threads regarding this exact issue.

Chrysler did give me a free 5 year/100000 mile warranty due to the car being in the shop three times for a total of 42 days.

Each state has different rules for Lemon Law. You'd need to see the blue and white booklet in your car's glovebox.

As for the hardshifting, this is a normal trait of the new 300's. I've been to the Chrysler factory, and also work for Chrysler. I get MANY calls regarding this on a daily basis.

If you do have more questions, you can contact us at 1-800-992-1997.

I'm fine with the car shifting hard, not fine with a "bump" noise when downshifting from 3-2 and 2-1. There is no way that is a "normal trait" for any car!
