Default 98 grand voyager engine tick

As the weather gets colder I have developed a tick when the engine is cold. It does not start right away but about 30 seconds after the engine is started. It ticks (like a pencil on a desk) for about 3-4 minutes until the engine is hot. When the weather is warm is tick stops real quick. It is a 3.3 liter in a 98 gand voyager with 120k miles. It has been doing this for a few years but have noticed that is is getting worse. Lifter noise? We have the oil changed very 3k.
