I have just bought a 2006 voyager with the 6 disc CD/DVD player. When I put a DVD in the player I have sound but the drop down screen remains blank. I've been told I need a remote to operate the screen. My nearest Chrysler dealer gave me the part number 05083190AA for the remote based on my chassis number. I managed to buy one but there is still nothing happening with the screen. The person I bought the remote from said they had previously had the same problem and that Chrysler has the wrong remote number listed. Does anyone have a 2006 voyager with the same system and if so, could you give me the part number of the remote? Thanks, James.

 

You have to press the headphone button on the remote to activate the screen. Then a little headphone icon will appear on the head unit. Aim the remote at the cd changer.

I need the correct remote but I don't know which one I need. The Chrysler dealer gave me the wrong part number The guy in the other thread had the same problem, it was him I bought the remote from, he did the same as me and bought one based on the part number from Chrysler then found it was the wrong one. I'm trying to get the correct remote part number from someone who has a 2006 voyager and the same 6 disc system as mine. Once I know which remote is the right one I can try to get one.
